Silent blasting expansive agent, also commonly known as non-explosive demolition agent or static cracking agent, is a non-explosive breaking material mainly composed of calcium oxide. It generates extremely high expansive pressure through a hydration reaction, enabling silent and controlled fracturing of rock or concrete. It is widely used in mining, quarrying, and concrete demolition applications.

• When using rock expansive cracking agent, the hole spacing should be maintained between 30-60 cm.
• Before filling the holes with the expansive slurry, an air blow gun must be used to clean the holes thoroughly to ensure they are free of dust and debris.
• During pouring operations, workers must wear protective goggles and rubber gloves to ensure personal safety.
• The drilling depth should be controlled within 90% of the total depth of the material to be broken; the optimal range is about 70%, but the hole must never be drilled through. At least 10-15 cm of rock or concrete must remain at the bottom.
• A free surface (open face) must be available in the direction of breaking to ensure safe and effective operation.
• Hole cleaning is critical. Before filling with expansive slurry, the holes must be cleaned again using an air blow gun.
• As the expansive agent is a highly alkaline material, operators should avoid positioning their heads directly above the hole during filling to prevent possible gas or slurry ejection.
• In case of skin or eye contact with the expansive agent, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water and seek medical attention as soon as possible.
• During pouring, the slurry should be filled evenly to about 15 cm below the hole mouth, then stirred to eliminate air pockets, followed by immediate sealing and covering with straw mats.
• After the holes are filled, personnel should not remain on-site for at least three hours. If presence is necessary, a safe distance must be strictly maintained.
• After completing the operation, workers must wash all exposed skin thoroughly to prevent potential irritation or damage caused by the expansive agent.
